What is Depression?
Depression affects how you feel, often making life seem heavy and overwhelming. You may begin to feel hopeless about the future, doubting your self-worth. Later, feelings of guilt, shame, and sadness appear.

Depression can stem from external factors like stress or loneliness, or internal ones like self-criticism and guilt. Many clients feel it when they sense a loss or lack of something important in their lives
Depression often makes it difficult to see hope or take action.
You may feel like nothing makes sense and struggle to find the motivation to do anything. This emotional weight can affect work, relationships, and everyday activities. However, the sooner you seek help, the sooner you can start to break the cycle. Therapy offers a space to confront your sadness, guilt, and hopelessness, and gives you the tools to start making even small changes that can lead to progress.
As therapy progresses, many clients notice a sense of relief within a few sessions. While intense feelings may still arise, sharing your experience in therapy helps you understand and manage them. Over time, you’ll develop new ways of coping and find a renewed ability to make decisions that support your well-being.
